The Solution is in Each of Us

The Solution is in Each of Us

“Never doubt that a group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

From my experience, before I point my finger at others I need to first take a look in the mirror.

So, the question I ask myself is this:  How can I improve on my own environmental awareness?

By first taking action in a positive direction on a daily basis. This also applies to how my actions will affect the health of our water. I am not claiming to be perfect, therefore I do not expect any one else to be either. This is about awareness, action and self-responsibility. This is about progress not perfection. All that I do for our Planet, I will do 10% more. We are asking you do the same.

We would love to hear from you? How would you answer the question above?

The Challenge is Not the Plastic

The Challenge is Not the Plastic

It’s a lack of social / personal responsibility, that is the problem.

We here at ECC believe that we have lost touch with the Earth. We have forgot how to be ‘Stewards of the Water.’ It’s just not taught any more. For positive transformation of our planet to take place, we need to reacquaint ourselves with our role in the ecosystem.

For me, as the Founder of ECC, it is very personal. We dam the rivers, these are her arteries. We over fish her oceans; this is the heart of the planet. The Air: American manufacturers “admit” to releasing 4 Billion pounds of pollutants into the environment, annually. How can our planet breathe? How can we breathe?

What is the best way for us to live in harmony with the Earth? One day at a time. One action at a time. We are compiling a list of what “you can do”. Take a few, leave a few.

Here are 2 that top my list.

1. When you see it, Pick It Up; plastic it’s everywhere. Proper disposal is key.

2. Just say “No” to single use plastic and bring your own bag.
